Great Googa Mooga!

So today I had to work from 12-9 because the Fort was having rehearsals for our Hallowe'en Tour on the 28th. But we had dinner break from 5:15 to 7pm and most of us went to the pub for dinner. I went because I knew they would be playing the Monday Night Football game. Bears against the Arizona Cardinals. Game began and 5:30 and I assumed that this would be an easy win. However, after chowing down on two $1.99 burgers (they're on special on Mondays) the first quarter of the game blew by and my cherished Chicago Bears were down 14-0.
By the time halftime came, it was nearing 7 and time to head back to work. Bears down 20-0. What the hell was happening? My coworkers were laughing at me, the rest of the pub patrons were laughing (I was wearing my Urlacher jersey of course). My friends were even sending me text messages and laughing.
Start of the 3rd quarter and the Bears start with a field goal. But the Cardinals match it, but then with 2 seconds left in the third quarter, Bears return a fumble for a touchdown. Cardinals 23-Bears 10. Was it possible?

4th quarter with 5 minutes to go, Bears return another fumble for a touchdown.
23-17 for Arizona. Then with less than three minutes left, my Bears return a punt for yet another touchdown! HOLY MONKEY!
52 seconds left, Arizona brings it all the way to the Bears 23 yard line. 4th down and they attempt a 40-yard field goal. WIDE TO THE LEFT!
BEARS GET THE BALL!
BEARS WIN!!!!!!! BEARS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
24-23!!!!!!!
You know what this means?
A true team of destiny.
Even when we suck, we win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boo

930, got half an hour to kill until "studio 60" comes on

went on a haunted trolley tour of vancouver last night with a bunch of people from work. pouring rain, mass confusion, and to top things off, our tour guide told the corniest jokes... frankly i wanted to strangle him and make the night more exciting

the reason we went on the tour in the first place was to get ideas for a haunted "fright night" at the fort. actually gonna be called "an eerie night of fright" since we don't want to get sued by playland

kinda confused at the moment as to what type of halloween tour we want to present? something overtly tacky with props and pyrotechnics, or something hauntingly quiet with the less-is-more aspect, where we rely on the visitors' anticipation to get the best of them

meh, what can ya do

all i know is that i'm in charge of the "graveyard" portion of it all. already have the caskets made which look too damn realistic. now all we need are the right volunteers willing to crawl out of them at least a couple of dozen times throughout the night

working a late shift tomorrow then 12-9, means i'll miss most of the bears game, however if i time it right, i can hit the pub for dinner and catch the beginning of the game. and then i can stop at Wendel's coffee shop on the way back to work and get myself a VENTI HAZELNUT MOCHA

it's like christmas in a cup

due to my residence in the basement of my sister's house for the time being, i have grown increasingly courageous towards killing stray spider that wander into my room. mainly because mom probably wouldn't be able to hear my screams anyways. i keep the can of raid beside me, but the supply is limited, so spiders the size of my thumbnail and smaller (as well as daddy long legs) must suffer with a kleenex death grip. i get chills just thinking about it

speaking of which, the fort has these extremely huge brown hairy spider props about the size of my leg that are going to be strewn about the fort. just have to keep reminding myself that they're not real and hopefully i'll get through the day.

gotta wait another week for a new prison break episode

damn you baseball.... damn you
